As I take a moment to think of the Love that God has for all humanity, I think about Adam & Eve. They had it made! God loved them so much that he created the earth and all that is in it for them to enjoy. They could look up at the night sky and see the magnificent splendor of the universe, and know that they are loved. They had a perfect relationship with the creator Himself, and then sin entered the heart of man and things drastically changed for them and for us all.
In Genesis 3:15, the Bible tells us that God promised to send One that would defeat sin and Satan. One that would be bruised through the death on the cross. According to 2 Corinthians 5:21, Christ was “made sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him“. Praise God that this death was not final, for on the third day, Christ arose defeating both sin and death.
The Bible says in Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us“. This Love that God demonstrated through the sacrificial offering of his son Jesus Christ, is more than we can fully understand. It is during this time of the year that we are encouraged to set aside the craziness of the season and reflect on this inspirational Love.
Just as this Love was demonstrated to you, take time to demonstrate Love to others and point them to the One and only, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World.
