"Be Obedient"

In our exploration of Acts 1:8, we're challenged to become effective witnesses for Christ. This journey begins with a crucial mindset shift - a sincere desire to obey God's word. From there, we're called to make ourselves available, cultivating awareness of our surroundings and the needs of others. The story of Peter and John healing the lame man at the temple gate beautifully illustrates this process. Their availability led to awareness, which in turn prompted them to be vocal about Christ's power. But at the core of it all lies the most vital element: spending time with Jesus. Just as the religious leaders recognized that Peter and John had 'been with Jesus,' our effectiveness as witnesses stems from our closeness to Him. This message invites us to examine our own lives. Are we truly available for God's use? Are we aware of the opportunities He places before us? And most importantly, are we nurturing our relationship with Christ, the source of our boldness and power?
