Psalm 77:11-13 NKJV
[11] I will remember the works of the LORD; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. [12] I will also meditate on all Your work, And talk of Your deeds. [13] Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary; Who is so great a God as our God?
What have you been doing lately? How much of your time during this month has been spent in remembrance of God’s wonders, His providence, His divine appointments, His instructions, His forgiveness, His goodness, grace, and gifts?
Perhaps you can imagine where my heart and mind have been during my final month of full-time ministry after 40 years. I’m still so incredibly amazed – blown away – in awe – humbled – thankful beyond words – speechless with only tears expressing my heart of wonder! God has so graciously allowed me to have many front row seats to His display of miraculous life change in the individuals that said “Yes” and surrendered to His will and ways for living life, glorifying Him as a way of life! Oh … too many to count … but for all, I will praise HIM forever – literally!!!
In 1 Chronicles 16, David wrote a Psalm and gave it to Asaph – which in our day and time, we would call Asaph the Worship Pastor! One of the lines in this song says this, “Remember His marvelous works which He has done.” (v.12)
In Joshua 24, we see where Joshua erected a stone as a witness, a symbol for the remembrance of all that God had done.
I hope that many of you will be able to attend the Worship service, August 1st, 10:30am at Choice Baptist Church as I will have the blessed opportunity to share about the Faithfulness of God. This will be my last Sunday to serve as a full-time pastor on Staff at a church, but I will always do my best to be a minister of the Gospel as long as I have breath. Erect your stones of remembrance and give God all the glory for all that He has done, and for all which is to come!!! Praise His holy name!!!
