Fall Fest 2023 was a great success! When we set out to plan and execute Fall Fest this year, we wanted to highlight Choice as a welcoming place of worship and share the gospel with the local community. I can confidently say that we achieved both of those goals! Hundreds of families came to our campus to fellowship and participate in family-friendly activities. Some of the highlights this year included: an inflatable 65 ft obstacle course, a sensory play area made with corn, a petting zoo (thank you, Walnut Hill Farm), food trucks, a helicopter candy drop, and a 40-car trunk or treat. So much fun!
An unexpected, sweet bonus of the event was seeing the Choice family come together to serve with such joy. One volunteer said, “Why isn’t every Sunday this much fun?” Full of life! Full of joy! It’s easy to get distracted by the business of life. Count on an event centered around children to bring energy and excitement. Acts 2:46-47 says “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” Fall Fest was a great example of gladness and praising God with the community.
One volunteer shared that she’s been inviting a family to church for several weeks without luck. However, when she invited them to Fall Fest, they agreed to attend. They were given a gospel tract when they arrived and experienced the love of Jesus through the smile of a volunteer and the passing of candy at a trunk. The Lord works in mighty ways. I’m looking forward to seeing how the impact of Fall Fest continues in the coming weeks.
