Christmas

There is a holiday that some people celebrate, and that holiday is Christmas.
Christmas is not just about presents and Santa. It is about remembering when Jesus
Christ was born. Joseph and Mary had Jesus as their son.  Just like us, Jesus has two
fathers. One of his father’s was Joseph, and the other is God.

There was no room in the inn, so they had Jesus born in a stable. There were three
merchants bringing gifts for Jesus, but how did they know how to get there?  God
put a giant star in the sky and they were supposed to follow it. They followed it and it
led them to Jesus. The three different presents that they brought were gold coins,
myrrh, and frankincense. Then, God made an angel in the sky and told all the
shepherds that Christ was born. They went to the stable, and there they saw Jesus,
God’s only son, asleep in a manger.  When he was born, a very, very cute smile came
out and he was very happy.

Jesus is important because he taught us all about God and how we can be more
giving, more loving, and also more kind. If there was no Jesus, we would have no
salvation. If there was no Jesus, we wouldn’t know how to be good people and we
would never get to go to heaven. It is a blessing that Jesus was born.

As we start a new year, we should thank God for sending Jesus to us and we should
also pray that other people will be kind to others and soon believe in Jesus. Every day
when you wake up, praise God that Jesus was born.

“For God so Loved the World, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him
should not perish, but have eternal life”  (John 3:16)
